The Palmer Lake Parent Teacher Organization is a place for parents and families to connect and make our school the best it can be for our all students. We are growing and getting focused on how we can supplement what Palmer Lake is already doing.
Our meetings are the first Tuesday each month; all families are welcome, there is no cost to join. Follow our page on Facebook to stay up to date with how your family can be connected to our community. Find us here: www.facebook.com/palmerlakepto/
There are lots of ways to help the events, and the everydays, easier for our staff and students. Fill out the application and join us on a Friday morning for our Fun Crew, 9am – 12noon.
Volunteers are an essential piece to our school’s success. Come make a difference.
Here are the basic procedures that volunteers follow while at Palmer Lake:
- Complete a volunteer application; every volunteer must have a new application on file each school year.
- Sign in at the front office, the Volunteer section of the Visitor Book. You get your own page!
- Put on your Name Badge/Button. Enjoy your time enriching our community.
- Sign out after you are done volunteering. Please be sure to log your hours. Volunteer hours are tracked and recorded each month, validating the importance of our volunteer program!
When you complete a volunteer application with your contact info and email, you will be one of the first to hear about upcoming volunteer opportunities. Some are on-going, while others are one-time events or projects. New opportunities are always coming up; we hope that you will find the perfect fit for your schedule, personality, and talents. Thank you for making a difference every day!

Do you like reading with your student? Do you have an hour or two during the month that is ‘free’? We love to have guests come to Palmer Lake and read with our Panthers. Email our coordinator above to set up a time to visit, either in our Media Center or with a classroom.
At Palmer Lake, we believe in challenging the status quo to ensure equitable student achievement. We believe in thinking differently about how we inspire and prepare all students to achieve their dreams. We create transformational changes by analyzing our practices through a racial lens, and by personalizing the learning experience for students. We just happen to be a Pre-K - 5 Elementary School. Come join our team; Volunteer and Serve.
