Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?
I attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and I was extremely fortunate to join the Pirate family right after graduation; this is my fifth year teaching at Park Center.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe every student is capable of learning and it is my job to encourage all students on their journey to become inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
Why did you choose your profession?
Itís what Iím meant to do!† Teaching runs in my family- my grandparents, both of my parents, and a handful of my cousins are all in the education field. Plus I love learning and want to share that excitement with the students here at Park Center.

In what room(s) can you commonly be found?
I assistant coach the Maple Grove Nordic Ski team and am the head coach of the District 279 Synchronized Swim Team. †I love traveling, swimming, skiing, and have learned to love running. I just†ran my first full marathon (26.2 miles) on October 7, 2012.
Advice for students going to college?
Be your own advocate! Itís up to you to ask your professors for help; they wonít hold your hand. Also, donít worry if you havenít chosen a major yet; take your time finding your passions and then follow your heart!
Biggest pet peeve?
People who are disrespectful, have negative attitudes, and think theyíre entitled to the best of everything without putting in the work to earn it.

If you were required to find a different job then what you are currently doing, what would you choose?
