Webpage: Adjusted Biology, Webpage: Biology

Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?

Edina HS, Concordia College(Moorhead, Mn.), and the University of Minnesota

When did you begin working at Park Center?

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that I work best with students in a relaxed, casual setting. I enjoy a "kindness is king" type of learning environment. I also have a character flaw of being a workaholic and perfectionist. This weakness conflicts with my relaxed, kinder philosophy. I am constantly battling myself and find at this stage of my career, I usually defeat the perfectionist tendencies.

Why did you choose your profession?

Partially by accident. I had a job in the music business that had no "redeeming qualities". That didn't sit well with my moral self that wanted a greater purpose in life. I tried teaching, perhaps because it was familiar, as one of those purposeful careers and found that I loved it.

What is your favorite quote?

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful and committed citizens can change the world...indeed it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Meade

In what room(s) can you commonly be found?

Additional Comments(hobbies)?

I am very proud to work at Park Center. I consider it a home away from home for myself and most of the people who spend their time here.
