Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?

Augsburg College in Minneapolis. I taught physical education for 17 years and was the Athletic Director at Osseo High school for 8 years. I am returning from a 4 year leave of absence during which time I worked in middle management for a printing company.

When did you begin working at Park Center?


What is your teaching philosophy?

To provide students with the opportunity to learn new activities, learn more about physical fitness and develop healthy lifestyles. I believe students must also learn to collaborate with their peers in a safe and respectful environment.

Why did you choose your profession?

I enjoyed school and athletics so I aspired to become a teacher and coach.

What is your favorite quote?

“Don’t count the days, make the days count”

In what room(s) can you commonly be found?

In the gymnasium area.

Additional Comments(hobbies)?

I enjoy golfing, reading and attending my two son’s activities.

Advice for students going to college?

Visit the college and see if it feels right and offers the programs you are interested in.

Biggest pet peeve?

People who are not responsible and accountable for their actions.
