Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?

I attended Northwestern College for my undergraduate degree and am completing my Master's at Boston University. Before teaching at Park Center I taught at several elementary schools in the Osseo district.

When did you begin working at Park Center?


What is your teaching philosophy?

I teach with the assumption that every student can learn and wants to learn - I seek to find ways to connect students with content in a way that engages their curiosity and empowers them to continue learning after they have moved past my class.

Why did you choose your profession?

I get to go to work every day and do what I love in a place filled with fun, energetic, and excited students!

Additional Comments(hobbies)?

I love being active, working with my hands, or reading a good book.

Advice for students going to college?

Don't just float through college - have fun, but remember that you are there for a purpose. You are investing in your future and the choices you make in college will either help you achieve your dreams or will hinder your progress. Dream big, make a plan to achieve your dream, then work hard at your plan until it is accomplished.

Biggest pet peeve?

The sound of someone filing their fingernails
