What is your teaching philosophy?

Teach with love, compassion, humor and enthusiasm and pretty much all will go well.

Why did you choose your profession?

I love to make art, talk about art, teach art, look at art, think about art and be around art.

Art, veganism, cross-country running and skiing, gardening, sustainable and healthy living, reading, vegan cooking, chasing around my 2 rambunctious boys, beating my husband at cards, long talks with my mom, fishing with my dad, cabin time in Ely, and time with my girlfriends.

Advice for students going to college?

Try not to become a person of success, but try instead to become a person of value.
