Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?
I went to St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota. While most of my jobs have been in teaching, Iíve done landscaping and once sold teddy bears at the State Fair.
When did you begin working at Park Center?
What is your teaching philosophy?
Be passionate about what you do so students see whatís inherently intriguing about the world.
Why did you choose your profession?
I kind of fell into it. After graduating from college, I wanted to live overseas. So I took a month-long intensive course in teaching English as a foreign language and taught in the Czech Republic for two years. At that point I realized teaching was a good fit: itís challenging and lets me work with people and help them grow.

In what room(s) can you commonly be found?
The IB office (next to the attendance area) or out and about in the building.
I like cooking, cross-country skiing, traveling and going on adventures (museums, concerts, markets, doughnut shops, etc.) with my family.
Advice for students going to college?
Take a variety of classes: you might be surprised to find out what you really like.

Iíd give tours of cities to small groups.
