As we move through a highly technical society, it is apparent that a math background will continue to be valuable to students. Students should carefully assess their math ability and then pursue the math curriculum to their maximum potential.

NOTE: District 279 graduation requirements include one full year of math in their 10th to 12th grade year. It is the recommendation of the math department that a grade of at least C+ be attained before moving to the next level in a math sequence. If this grade level is not attained, the recommendation is to repeat the class to enhance the understanding of the material and improve the grade before continuing to the next level. The State requires a passing score on the Minnesota Basic Math Standards Test.
