The Double Dutch Team practices after school twice-per-week and is now performing at schools across the Twin Cities to kick-off the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart Fundraising Campaign. This will kick-off the fundraising campaign at Park Brook and is also a great opportunity for parents to come and see the skills of this amazing group.
Research clearly indicates increasing fitness increases academic growth and positive behaviors. The 30+ students in this group not only gain the skills and health benefits, but this program assists with their academic growth by increasing physical fitness.
All students will participate in the Jump Rope for Heart jumping event on Friday, March 23rd during physical education and music classes.
The American Heart Association pays for travel expenses to other schools across the Twin Cities.
