The Luminary Loppet will be held the evening of Saturday, February 3. This event is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.
The Luminary Loppet is help on Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis. Students participating will snow-shoe on the frozen lake to view thousands of ice luminaries, watch fire dancers, see snow and ice sculptures, and stop for hot chocolate along the way. It is a fun event sponsored by The Loppet Foundation.
For our weekend events we do require a $5 commitment fee that is returned to all students who participate or let the office know that they are not coming by noon on the last school day before the event. With field trips during the regular school day, we can accurately order busses and send the correct amount of staff members for supervision. With weekend events, the commitment fee has greatly assisted us with having a somewhat accurate number of students, which greatly helps with costs.
If a student needs another copy of the permission slip, they are welcome to pick one up in the office or click here.
