Fine Arts Spotlight
Osseo Senior High fine arts students create fantastic and stunning works of art in their classes. They are able to compete in a variety of state and national level awards competitions.
National Scholastic Awards
The Art Department at OSH is thrilled and honored to announce two of our student artists have been selected as National Scholastic Art Award Winners. This selection puts them among the top one percent of 7-12 grade art and writing students nationwide!
Ben Gilbertson is being awarded the National Gold Medal in Ceramics for Post Historic, Eric Lundstrom is being awarded the National Silver Medal in Photography for Cimmerian Reverie.
There were over 3000 works of art awarded Gold and Silver Medals this year nationally. 29 were awarded golds in ceramics.
The winning artworks will be on display this summer at Carnegie Hall in New York City; Ben will be in attendance at the ceremony among the nation’s gold medal winners, celebrities and dignitaries and his work will be part of a 2-year traveling exhibition.
The Art Department at Osseo thanks all of the parents, teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff that have celebrated and encouraged their creativity and drive to be the best!
