Again this year we are partnering with the American Heart Association to educate our students about living a heart-healthy lifestyle. 80% of heart disease is preventable and we want to teach our students that eating right, choosing water, exercising and staying away from tobacco/vaping/e-cigs are great ways to keep their hearts healthy and strong. In addition, we invite the community to make donations to the American Heart Association to help further their mission to build a world of longer, healthier lives.
We’ll be hosting our annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament after school on Thursday, February 28. Students may register for the tournament AT SCHOOL; cost per player is $25 and includes a wristband, shirt and socks from the American Heart Association. We will have the championship game at school on Friday, March 1, the same day we encourage all students and staff to wear red to celebrate our support of the American Heart Association.
Students/Families may choose to raise donations for the American Heart Association online, or in the red envelope - available to pick up at school. Students who raise donations will earn Thank You gifts from the American Heart Association. To raise donations online, please register at http://www2.heart.org/goto/OsseoRedOut
