volVolunteers are an essential piece to our success here at Oak View!  Come make a difference in the lives of others!

Some opportunities are on-going, while others are one-time events or projects. New opportunities are always coming up; we hope that you will find the perfect fit for your schedule, personality, and talents.  Thank you for making a difference every day!

There are many opportunities coming up in the next six weeks.  There are opportunities for parents, high school and middle schoolers, and retired family and friends.

CONFERENCE CATERING:  Twelve hour days are long for our teachers and staff.  Let’s give back for all they do for our students.  Can you contribute a portion of a meal October 7th, 10th or 15th?  See link below for options.  Don’t have time to contribute food but would like to donate?  Send cash or check donations in an envelope labeled “Conference Catering Donation” in to your teacher.  Or donate through Venmo at @Tricia-Ellingson-1.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR:  Volunteering at the book fair is a great give back as our book fairs raises over $10,000 every year to purchase books, furniture and equipment.  We have day and evening opportunities October 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 15th.  This is a great opportunity for high school and middle schoolers, as well as grandparents.  Sign up at

VISION AND HEARING:  Last year out of 300 students screened 80 needed further screening.  This is one of the most productive three hour volunteer opportunities you will experience.  Do you have three hours on November 6th or 7th or know someone who does?  Sign up below.

TURKEY BINGO:  One of our biggest Oak View community get togethers of the year needs over 76 volunteers to give away 70+ turkeys.  This is another great event for high school and middle school volunteers.  Sign up today for this fun event!  Sign up at

OAK (OPPORTUNITIES AROUND KNOWLEDGE) recess classes start up mid November.  Do you have a talent or craft you would like to share with our students?  Or would you like to come work with students doing activities that have been pre-planned for you (computer lab, clay creations, gym games, etc.)?  Contact Tricia, Volunteer Coordinator, for more information at 763-391-8692 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
