It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the Senior All-Night Party for the Class of 2020.
Yet another “loss” for our graduates, though it is one we feel is necessary for a myriad of reasons, with health and safety being of primary concern. We did not come to this decision easily and our hearts are broken along with yours, but we also feel with such a fun weekend of festivities planned with our drive-through graduation and parade, it was important to announce the cancellation, now, and give our Seniors closure, rather than further the anticipation of an event that, more than likely, would not be permitted based on Minnesota's phased reopening plan, due to the size, proximity of the group and type of activities taking place.
While a handful of Bowlero locations in the U.S. have opened to some extent, the Bowlero locations in MN remain closed with no projected date for reopening. The safety measures in place for the out-of-state locations that have reopened would dramatically change the format of our SANP, such that, even if we were allowed to host a group of this size, we would no longer be able to offer the event we envisioned and so diligently planned for over the past 6 months.
Please know, your Maple Grove community is behind you as you move on to what’s next. While we can’t have a large gathering, your SANP committee will be planting a Maple tree on school grounds, with an engraved plaque both honoring of the Class of 2020 and commemorating your achievements. More details to come in the next few weeks.
Warmest regards and best wishes to those that will shape our future,
Your Senior All-Night Party Committee
