Students in grades 2-5 were given the opportunity to participate, once again, in the Timberwolves "Read to Achieve" program. Recording their reading minutes between October 21st and November 18th, those who read 500 pages or more will be rewarded with a Timberwolves pack; including a poster, bookmark, Timberwolves prize and a free student ticket offer to a Wolves game during the 2016-2017 season. Last year, Garden City student Audrianna Gonzales was among the top readers in the city. She and her family were invited to and honored at a Timberwolves game. Top readers this year were Anijah Sloan (fourth grade) with 3,395 pages, Lydia Xiong (second grade) with 2300 pages and Audrianna Gonzales (fifth grade) with 2000 pages.
