Garden City students in grades 3 and 4 spent some of their spring media time learning about gardening and doing some planting. As the summer progresses, their attention to details like mulch and marigolds has paid off. Crops will soon be ready to harvest and families are welcome to take one or two items if they are in the area. Growing are tomatoes, onions, basil, butternut squash, kale, green peppers, parsley, beans and cabbage as well as many bright and cheery flowers. Even more produce will be ready as the school year begins.
