The PTO is made up of parents, teachers and staff who work together for a better Cedar Island Elementary School. We have two main purposes. 1) we fundraise over $30,000.00 annually. The money we earn helps to support our volunteer program as well as grade level activities, classroom supplies, classroom parties, and other items for our school. 2) we sponsor family events that allow us to get to know our teachers, staff and each other while having an enjoyable time.
In addition to our executive board, there are many other dedicated parents, teachers and staff who play a significant role in our success.
Cedar Island PTO has raised money with the help of our families and children. We would love to have you attend the Cedar Island PTO meetings doing so is a great way to get to know what is happening at our school. All ideas and suggestions are welcome. Remember, coming to PTO meetings does not obligate you to any additional time commitments. We just want you to be a part of our decision making process. We value your input and opinions.
Please remember that a great and easy way to help us earn money for our school is to save General Mills box tops. These items can be sent in to school with your child and given to their teacher.
