Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and National Football League, in collaboration with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is provided locally by Western Dairy Association and the Denver Broncos. The program empowers youth to take actions to improve nutrition and physical activity at their school and for their own health.
Through this program, we are encouraging all of our students at Basswood Elementary School to be physically active for 60 minutes a day and to make healthy eating choices. We have a student team who will lead this program throughout the year with challenges and other exciting events.
We are also encouraging our students to sign up on www.fueluptoplay60.com and select Basswood as their school. Students who are active on this site can earn points which gives them a chance to win prizes for themselves and the school. Please see Sign Up Letter about signing up to be a part of Basswood's Fuel Up To Play 60 program.
