Happy New Year! It was good to have students back in our hallways and classrooms this morning. All of us at OSH hope you had a good winter holiday break.
Trimester One Grade Distributions
Trimester One grade distributions have been finalized. They are as follows:
A- 6.8% 21.7% total grades were either A or A-
B- 9.9% 30.0% total grades were in the B range
C- 4.0% 17.6% total grades were in the C range
D- .8% 5.8% total grades were in the D range
* If you noticed that these percentages do not add up to 100% it is because there are also grades (such as those for Advisory) that are P (pass), NG (no grade), NC (no credit) for specific situations.
A total of 8164 letter grades were given, including Incompletes. The two largest categories of grades earned were A (1459) and B (1064).
OSH students continue to demonstrate learning at high levels. We are very proud of that.
Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, January 24, from 3:30-8:00 pm. Conferences will again be arena-style, providing access to more teachers in closer proximity. Midtrimester reports will be distributed to students on Wednesday, January 23. Please look for those to come home with your son/daughter that afternoon. Remember to bring a picture ID with you to conferences. That expedites us giving you all the information you need for successful conferences.
We will be meeting with this year’s 10th and 11th graders to discuss registration for 2013-2013 the last week of this month. Once that process begins, we encourage you to be actively involved in helping them select classes for next year. Registration will be on-line this year (personal conferences are available if you would like to come to the school to register). Look for detailed information in the January Flier, which will be mailed early next week (Jan 7-11). If you do not receive a Flier in the mail, please call the office at 763-391-8500 so we can be sure to send one out.
